A show that, AFAIK, wasn't a popular trade and became better known in the 21st century.
Dick's #25 includes most of this show and the following night, though this is the good show. Apparently the 9th isn't in the vault, since it's the better show. The show is lengthy, with the 2nd set almost 2 hours.
First Set. This is the way you want
Jack Straw. They Love Each Other settles in and x-factor arrives. The final vocal refrain in
Cassidy is abandoned in a decent version .For
Me & My Uncle Jer is incredibly fluid and on
Big River the way he crashes into his 2nd solo is scrumptious pie. The rest is above average but beware of Donnaskreech™ on
Deal.
Second Set. They get a little lost on
Bertha but things pick up on
Must Have Been the Roses, with good harmony, a Bakersfield opening and Bobby fills. This sequence through
Estimated>Eyes is tight, '78 stylee.
Drums are long and monotonous, with Mickey staying for
Space and after half an hour it veers into
Other One. Wharf Rat is worth it for the end jam and Phil's chorded bombs.
Sugar Magnolia is a bit off but
U.S. Blues is an enthused version.
1st Set: B
2nd Set: C+
Overall = 3 Stars
Highlights:
They Love Each Other - first X-factor
Me & My Uncle - fluid
It Must Have Been the Roses - uptempo, Donna & Bobby harmonics, great fills
Estimated Prophet>Eyes of the World - meat of the show; the '78 versions
Wharf Rat - whips up into a great jam

lai.3899 is the best SBD but the matrix is better for Bertha. All but It Must Have Been the Roses & U.S. Blues are on
